Keep iPod Out of the Heat

Leaving your iPod in the car (or even in the glove box) will affect your battery’s performance.

Software and Usage

Upgrade your iPod with the latest software.
Use your iPod on a regular basis, don’t let it sit for long periods of time unused.
Use the hold switch so your iPod does not accidentally turn on.
Use Pause when not listening to music or turn it Off.
Make sure Backlight setting is on shortest setting or off.
Using the equalizer uses more of your ipods processor.
Fast forwarding through your songs use more battery.
Make your own play lists or use the shuffle feature.
If your ipod is being charged in its cover and feels hot, take it out of the protective case.
